Most candidates grind question banks and plateau. UCAT Engine is the day-by-day system high scorers actually use — adaptive scheduling, speed drills under pressure, audio spaced-repetition, and GMC-aligned situational-judgement training — built for the 2026 format.
The UCAT isn't a knowledge test — it's a speed-and-decision test. You can't revise facts into a high score. Yet most prep is passive: thousands of practice questions, no system for turning mistakes into faster decisions. That's why effort and score so often don't match.
Each one targets a specific reason candidates lose marks. Together they form a closed loop: practise → diagnose → fix → re-test, every single day.
After every session you log accuracy, time-per-question and the single biggest mistake — then write the rule that fixes it. Tomorrow's plan automatically targets your weakest link.
Short, brutal timed reps — Decision Making in 2 minutes, Quantitative in 1, box-breathing between — that build the speed and composure the real test demands.
"Make Once, Hear 100." Record 45–120-second clips of rules, traps and daily fixes, then re-listen on days 1/3/7/14/21. Turns dead time — walking, commuting, the gym — into spaced-repetition.
20 GMC-aligned scenarios that teach you to read situational-judgement questions the way the people who write them do — the difference between a Band 2 and a Band 1.
A complete 5–6 week calendar — heavy at the start, light and confidence-priming in test week — with built-in mocks and debriefs. You always know exactly what to do today.
Question banks give you volume. The Engine gives you feedback. A logged mistake becomes a rule, the rule becomes audio, the audio becomes automatic — so you stop making whole categories of error.
A complete, plug-and-play prep infrastructure — not a PDF you read once. Import the sheets, sync the calendar, and start today.
One test sitting. One shot at the score that opens (or closes) medical-school doors. The system costs less than two hours of private tutoring.
The full self-serve method — everything you need to run the Engine yourself.
The system, plus a live group SJT huddle and a strategy walkthrough to set your plan.
Bespoke private coaching built around your diagnostics. Limited places per cycle.
🛡️ Fair-start guarantee: run the system properly for 14 days — log your diagnostics, do the drills — and if it isn't sharpening your scores, email us for a full refund.
Four individually-timed subtests in just under two hours: Verbal Reasoning (44 questions), Decision Making (35), Quantitative Reasoning (36) and Situational Judgement (69). Abstract Reasoning was removed from 2025. The three cognitive sections each score 300–900 (total 900–2700); the SJT is reported in Bands 1–4. The Engine is built for exactly this format.
Booking for the 2026 cycle opened on 23 June 2026; the testing window runs 13 July–24 September 2026, with booking closing 16 September. Most strong candidates test in late August/September but start their system in summer. The Engine is a 5–6 week plan — count back from your test date and start now.
No — and that's the point. You'll still need a question bank (we tell you how to use one properly). The Engine is the system on top: how to schedule, how to turn every mistake into a permanent fix, how to build speed, and how to crack the SJT. It makes whatever questions you practise count for far more.
Students sitting the UCAT for 2027-entry medicine or dentistry — and the parents helping them get organised. It works whether you're aiming to lift a plateaued score or build a high score from a strong start.
The situational-judgement scenarios are aligned to the GMC's Good Medical Practice principles — the same framework the test is built on. You learn to reason like an examiner instead of guessing, which is what separates the top bands.
A computer with a spreadsheet app (Excel or free Google Sheets), a calendar, your phone for audio, and a UCAT question bank of your choice. Everything else is in the pack.
